Taxi driver Chris Halliwell has been charged with the murder of Sian O'Callaghan, police announced today.
Father-of-three Halliwell, 47, was charged late last night and is due to appear before magistrates in Swindon tomorrow.
The development came as detectives revealed bones found at an isolated spot in Gloucestershire yesterday belong to a woman aged between 23 and 30.

Killed: 22-year-old Sian O'Callaghan disappeared last weekend and her body was discovered at Uffington Hill, Oxfordshire, on Thursday afternoon
Charged: Taxi driver Chris Halliwell will appear in court tomorrow over the murder of Sian O'Callaghan
They have yet to confirm her identity, alhough police believe they belong to someone who moved to the area from outside Wiltshire.
Detective Superintendent Steve Fulcher, who is leading the investigation, said: 'Bones recovered from the site at Eastleach in Gloucestershire are believed to be that of a young woman with an estimated age of between 23 and 30 years.
'It has been indicated to me that this young woman was taken from the Swindon area between 2003 and 2005.
'The remains will now be subject of further forensic laboratory tests and a post-mortem examination. The police search at the site is expected to continue for the time being.'
Sian, a 22-year-old PA, disappeared from Suju nightclub in Swindown last weekend. Her body was found in Oxfordshire on Thursday.
Halliwell is in police custody at Gablecross Police Station. Police had until 3.15am tomorrow to hold him without charge after obtaining a magistrate's warrant yesterday.
He was driven to the magistrates' court for a short hearing, travelling in a high-security van escorted by three police cars and a motorcycle outrider.
Officers in white, full-body forensic suits have been probing the ground on their hands and knees while others use mechanical diggers to excavate two trenches at Baxters Farm in Eastleach where the second body has been discovered. They have also removed part of a stone wall.

A police source said: ‘The remains that were found this morning [Saturday] are of a second body. We believe that they are bones from an arm or a leg and we are confident that they are human remains.
‘It will take us at least six or so hours to ascertain the exact nature of the bones and we expect to recover further remains.
'If we can obtain orthodontic records and DNA we hope to know the identity of this person within the next 48 hours.
‘We believe that they are of a young woman who disappeared from the Swindon area between 2003 and 2005 but there are no official records of any woman reported missing during this time.
'She may have come from outside of the Swindon area or her disappearance may just not have been reported at the time because she had no family or friends.’
Sian’s body was found near White Horse Hill, Uffington, Oxfordshire, but police believe she had been moved after her death from Savernake Forest, near Swindon, where her mobile phone transmitted its last signal.

Detective Superintendent Steve Fulcher added that the second woman was believed to have been murdered between 2003 and 2005, although the exact date when the crime was committed was not clear.
He has repeated his appeal for anyone out 'lamping' or poaching in the Ramsbury area near Marlborough at any time from 3am on Saturday March 19 to contact police without fear of arrest.
He confirmed that Sian has been formally identified now.
‘Sian’s body has since been successfully recovered and formal identification was carried out by Sian’s family,' he said.
‘A post mortem has been done but further tests are still required to determine the cause of death and this may take some time.
‘At this time there is no indication that Sian was sexually assaulted. We believe the individual who murdered Sian also killed a young woman at some point between 2003 and 2005.
‘We can’t be specific about the date or the year but we were given the exact location of the body. The young woman had been taken from the Swindon area.
'Officers have begun work to recover this second body and this morning officers have found remains which we believe to be human. Work is ongoing at the site.’

Police have appealed for any witnesses near Eastleach last Saturday in the early morning who spotted anything suspicious in the area, particularly a green Toyota Avensis.
Up until three years ago Halliwell held a contract with computer chip giants Intel Corporation – whose UK head office is in Swindon – to ferry senior staff to and from Heathrow Airport.
Ray French, whose company Chauffeur Driven Car Hire used Halliwell, said he was recommended by other drivers.
‘He was polite, reliable and hard-working. I would have trusted him with my own daughter,’ said Mr French, 66.
‘We hired him on a casual basis to assist with contracts we had with Intel, Nationwide, Honda, WH Smith and Zurich Assurance – all of whom have their UK head offices in Swindon.’
Sian’s disappearance sparked a huge public response last week with 400 people responding to a police request to help search Savernake Forest.
Halliwell was arrested on Thursday as he arrived at Swindon’s Asda supermarket to pick up a fare.
Investigators have taken away more than ten bags of items from his three-bedroom £180,000 semi-detached home in Swindon.
Halliwell has lived there with his girlfriend, twice-married Heather Widdowson, 53, since separating from his wife Lisa eight years ago.
Neither has commented on his arrest and Heather has apparently left the country.
Her brother, Peter Spanswick, 47, said: ‘She is in pieces and was barely even able to talk to me on the phone. She simply had no idea about any of this and would hate anyone to think she did.’
Halliwell’s parents are dead and his sister Sarah, 45, of Stroud, Gloucestershire, is estranged from him.
Police say Sian’s boyfriend Kevin Reape, 25, her parents Elaine, 48, and Michael, 49, brother Liam, 24, and sister Lora, all from Swindon, remain too distressed to release any statement.
