And Rihanna went for the less-is-more option a she flaunted her derrière on the cover of the upcoming issue of Rolling Stone magazine.
The 24-year-old Umbrella singer donned a barely there pair of metallic ripped hot pants that appear to have been sprayed on to her.

She paired the risqué shorts with a loose fitting white vest and colourful jewellery for the shoot and wore her hair in wild red curls.
The singer has has a miserable couple of weeks after it was revealed her tour may have to be cut back due to poor sales.

Despite having hugely successful album sales and a massive fan base, it is believed Rihanna's up and coming Summer tour has not been generating as much interest as promoters would like.
Recent ticket sales for her 2011 Loud Tour are believed to have been dwindling to such an extent that Rihanna was advised to consider cancelling the North American leg of the tour all together.
