The outfit she wore to the Royal Wedding divided fashion critics but Miriam Clegg undoubtedly stole the show last night. The deputy PM's wife dazzled in an embroidered fuchsia pink sari and platform heels at the Asian Women of Achievement Awards in London.

Theresa wore a maroon-coloured sari with her trademark kitten heels while Tessa opted for a darker coloured traditional-style top and dark leggings.
Miriam has always preferred to remain low-key in her role as the Deputy PM's wife leaving David Cameron's wife Samantha to attract attention for her style-conscious wardrobe choices.

But the lawyer's flamboyant outfit for the Royal wedding thrust her into the limelight.
She wore a bright orange hat and polka-dot dress for Prince William's marriage to Kate Middleton last month.
Whether you loved it or hated it, Miriam's outfit made a statement begging the question, will she be taking more of an interest in fashion as her husband's career progresses?
If so, then last night's sari will be seen as a fantastic start.
The Spanish beauty, who prefers to use her maiden name Gonzalez Durantez, kept her hair down and make-up simple.
Miriam attended the event, showcasing inspirational Asian women across business, the media, the arts and the public sector.
The awards honoured the achievements of ten 'pioneering' Asian women, including a detective inspector, a lawyer and a charity worker.
Winners included Amerdeep Somal, commissioner at the Independent Police Complaints Commission; Noor Ali, ethnic buyer for supermarket giant Asda; Shezmin Madhani, founder of the Nia Children's Foundation; lawyer Shireen Irani and Detective Inspector Khizra Dhindsa of West Midlands police.
Pinky Lilani, founder of the awards, said: 'Each of this year's winners are a credit to the British Asian community and are an inspiration to the next generation of women.'
But it was no rest for Miriam, who had a busy evening.
She left the party to join her husband at a fundraising evening for Gender Rights & Equality Action Trust at Corinthia Hotel.
But she left the sari behind and opted to wear a more simple yet stylish outfit of black skinny trousers and a black asymmetric top.
