As Britain recovers from the shocking scenes of violence and disorder on the nation's streets, an enterprising blog has been set up that pokes fun at those caught on camera during the riots.
The satirical site borrows from a deluge of mugshots that were released by police authorities following several disturbances earlier this month.
More than a dozen images captured as the streets were ablaze, have been analysed and matched up with their celebrity doppelgangers.
Ray Winstone? His doppelganger shares his penchant for black jackets;
President Obama? They share distinctive ears;
This man shares the same hooked nose and plump lips as Macauley Culkin;
So President Barack Obama is shown to have an unfortunate likeness to a youth in a black hoodie with similar trademark ears.
Meanwhile actor Ray Winstone may not take too kindly to his lookalike - a disheveled man with tattoos up his arm and clutching a bottle.
And one blonde young man who wasn't 'Home Alone' bore an uncanny likeness for former child star McCauley Culkin.
Meanwhile a woman with corkscrew curls drew almost inevitable comparisons with diva Mariah Carey, while another lady with a square jaw and smart hairdo drew a match with posh TV presenter Susannah Constantine.
Singer Mariah Carey is not the only fan of tumbledown curls;
Golfer Tiger Woods shares a liking for dressing in red and black;
Does this really look like Five Live radio presenter Richard Bacon?
The people behind the Lootalikes website hosted by the blog platform Tumblr were keen to point out they were ridiculing those who were allegedly involved in the misdeeds rather than supporting them.
In a statement they said: 'We don't in any way condone the looting and violence over the past week, we live in London and have experienced the devastation first hand.
'The amount of looter galleries appearing on the internet in the aftermath of the riots spurred on the idea for this blog. We hope it helps to spread awareness of the people involved in recent acts of violence in the UK.'
This Rio Ferdinand lookalike is also nimble on his feet;
Actress Eva Longoria is not the only one with bouffant hair and a dazzling smile;
What not to wear: Susannah Constantine and a young doppelganger;
The creators Rachel Bishop and Ian Byrne, who live in London, said more than 50,000 people had visited their site after it went viral and that some viewers had started sending in their own suggestions.
Tumblr is a microblogging site set up in New York in 2007 and already receives 6.8million visits a week to more than 17million blogs.
It allows users to share information as quickly as the social network Twitter, but gives more scope for including pictures, videos, links and audio.
With a right-on beret, this bespectacled man could be Hugh Fearnley-Whittingstall;
Eminem's dead ringer is fan of seventies band Abba;
