Rose McGowan, Ashley Tisdale, Amanda Seyfried, Louise Roe and Jaime King demonstrated their own take on tangerine hues at Nicole Miller, Prabal Gurung, Rag & Bone, Cynthia Rowley and Jill Stuart;
With over 100 designers showing their latest collections over seven days, there's no shortage of emerging trends at New York Fashion Week. But one to watch in particular has come not from the runways, but the front rows.The colour orange appears to be a favourite among celebrity guests at the shows of Nicole Miller, Rag & Bone, Cynthia Rowley and Jill Stuart.
Actress Rose McGowan brightened up the scene at the Helmut Lang show this morning in orange skinny jeans, while the Nicole Miller show saw both Ashley Tisdale and TV presenter Louise Roe wear the same hue (albeit in very different ways).

Model and actress Jaime King was also wearing the colour to great effect at the Cynthia Rowley show in a panelled dress in shades of coral, gold and taupe, while singer Corinne Bailey Rae wore bright orange shoes with her white dress at Costello Tagliapietra.
Indeed white was another hot look - despite the fact that Labour Day has been and gone, Julianne Hough and Gossip Girl star Kelly Rutherford stepped out wearing the shade head-to-toe.
And the front row fashion parade didn't end there. Nicki Minaj continued to carve her own style path in a plunging read-and-purple top, tutu skirt and printed leggings, all topped off with a giant pink hair bow. She made quite the contrast with Isabella Rossellini's model daughter Elettra Wiedemann, who looked elegant in a black lace shirt and silver flares.

Setting trends: Nicki Minaj and Elettra Rossellini Wiedemann on the front row at Prabal Gurung this afternoon and Alexa Chung with Derek Blasberg at Cynthia Rowley;
The runways were still the main event though, and the latest shows didn't disappoint. Rag & Bone, which counted Anna Wintour and Grace Coddington among the VIPS, and Cynthia Rowley were last night's hottest tickets, while this morning's shows included Lacoste, Jill Stuart, Prabal Gurung and Helmut Lang.
Jill Stuart's spring 2012 collection was a departure from her usual rocker chic, with drop-waist shifts in a candy-inspired palette of mint green, lipstick pink, tangerine and citrine yellow.
The designer said: 'I wanted this collection to be a dream, a fantasy.'
Fashion's bright young things: Leigh Lezark at Costello Tagliapietra, Emma Roberts at Jill Stuart and Amanda Seyfried this afternoon at Prabal Gurung;
Cynthia Rowley's show, meanwhile, was high on glamour with iridescent fabrics and metallic finishes flashing off the gold runway. There was play on texture and volume with full-skirted dresses and perforated leather tees.
Lacoste's show this morning was also impressive - the brand, which recently asked Norwegian police to ban mass murderer Anders Behring Breivik to stop wearing its clothes, is clearly making efforts to elevate its image.
Rugby-inspired tops with high-waisted trousers and graphic print dresses made for a strong womenswear collection while staying true to its sportswear roots.
Fashion future: Jill Stuart's spring 2012 collection featured candy-coloured drop-waist dresses , while Cynthia Rowley's offering was a high glamour play on volume and texture in a palette of black and gold;
High style: Lacoste and centre is clearly making an effort to elevate its image, while Prabal Gurung's collection was in a palette of purples;
Prabal Gurung's show, which was a real draw for the A-list featured floral prints and silk skirts with handkerchief hemlines and paper bag waists.
Violet was a dominant colour throughout, a hue already tipped to be a must-have for spring.
Later this evening Alexander Wang, Charlotte Ronson and Monique L'Huillier will be showing their latest collections, with Victoria Beckham and Diane von Furstenberg shows due to take place tomorrow.
