Yesterday was the first working day of the Games; thank you for avoiding the busy parts of the transport network at the busiest times. The public transport network remains busy. Please continue to plan ahead and to avoid driving in central London, on or around the Olympic Route Network (ORN) and venues. London has a lot to offer during the Games; make the most of the Live Sites, free concerts, theatres, restaurants, shops and attractions on offer in the West End and across town. Plan your travel at GetAheadoftheGames.com Live Sites will be in operation tomorrow. Hyde Park live site can be reached via Bond Street, Marble Arch and Green Park stations. Please note that Hyde Park Corner and Marble Arch stations are now exit only from 10:00 – 22:00 daily, until Sunday 12 August. Olympic Road Cycling Time Trials are also taking place tomorrow, starting and finishing at Hampton Court Palace, via East Molesey, West Molesey, Thames Ditton, Esher, Whiteley Village, Hinchley Wood, Surbiton, Kingston, Hampton Wick and Teddington. This will affect roads in and around Hampton Court and Surrey. There will be road closures and restrictions along the race route which will be put in place from 05:30 until late afternoon and early evening or when it is safe to reopen.
