* IN YOU BEEN SNAP BLOG * NI KAMA SIYO LONDON VILE"Revealed: The torture chamber flat where 15-year-old boy was beaten, stabbed and drowned because evil couple accused him of being a witch"

*MKILETEWA HAPA NA MISS FB FASHION POLICE*

This is the squalid flat in which a 15-year-old boy was beaten stabbed and eventually drowned after a three-day long ordeal after his sister and her partner accused him of witchcraft.

Kristy Bamu, 15, was tortured and drowned in a bath on Christmas Day 2010 by his sister Magalie and her partner Eric Bikubi.

They believed he had cast spells on another child in the family, the Old Bailey heard.

Today football coach Bikubi, 28, and Magalie, 29, of Newham, east London, were found guilty of murder by a jury and are now facing life in prison.

Eric Bikubi is facing a potential life sentence following the guilty verdict;

They were remanded in custody to be sentenced on Monday.

Following the verdicts, Scotland Yard announced it had investigated 83 cases involving abuse resulting from ritualistic or faith-based beliefs, and brought 17 prosecutions, over the last 10 years.

However the depravity of this case shocked investigators, who found a blood-stained flat laying testament to the cruelty involved.

Kristy was in such pain after three days of being attacked with knives, sticks, metal bars, and a hammer and chisel that he 'begged to die' before slipping under the water.

He had refused to admit to sorcery and witchcraft and his punishments in a 'deliverance' ceremony became more horrendous.

He had come to London with his two brothers and two sisters from their home in Paris to visit Magalie during the Christmas holiday in 2010.

But Bikubi turned on them, accusing them of bringing kindoki - or voodoo - into his home.

He forced them to pray for deliverance for three days and nights and deprived them of food and water.

Terrible death: Kristy Bamu was tortured for three days and forced to beg for forgiveness before he drowned in a bath;

The sisters, aged 20 and 11, were beaten along with Kristy, but escaped further attacks after 'confessing' to being witches.

Kristy was singled out after wetting his pants. He was struck in the mouth with a heavy bar and hammer, knocking out his teeth.

Ceramic floor tiles and bottles were smashed on his head and and a pair of pliers used to twist his ear.

The terrified siblings, who also included a 13-year-old boy and an autistic brother aged 22, were made to join in the torture.

At one point, Bikubi told the youngsters to jump out of the window to see if they could fly, the court heard.

They looked to their older sister to save them, but instead Magalie encouraged Bikubi and beat Kristy until he also confessed to witchcraft.

Sister Kelly, now 21, broke down several times in court as she relived the terror.

She said: 'They started talking about kindoki, witchcraft and this and that.

'It was as if they were obsessed by witchcraft and then it became absolutely unbearable.

'They asked if we were witches. I repeated again and again and again that we were not witches.

'I did not know what was going on in their minds. They decided we had come there to kill them.'

Kelly added: 'Kristy asked for forgiveness. He asked again and again.

'Magalie did absolutely nothing. She didn’t give a damn. She said we deserved it.'

Calling Magalie 'an idiot', Kelly said: 'I am sure she still believes even to this day that we are witches.

'I have no pity for her. She had no pity for us.'

Evidence: Officers found a whole array of weapons in the flat, including pliers, a pole, and a piece of wood;

At the end of their ordeal, they were all placed in the bath to be hosed down in cold water with a shower head.

Brian Altman QC, prosecuting, said: 'It was only when he realised that Kristy was not moving that Eric Bikubi stopped what he was doing and pulled him from the water. By then it was too late.'

Kristy had 130 separate injuries and died from a combination of being beaten and drowning.

Paramedics called to the eighth-floor flat tried to save Kristy but he was already dead.

In the blood-spattered living room, police found Kristy’s brothers and sisters.
'All were standing in the living room, hysterical, terrified and soaking wet,' said Mr Altman.

Four days of abuse: Items found in the flat had been used as 'weapons of torture'

Items found in the flat had been used as 'weapons of torture'.

He said: 'In a staggering act of depravity and cruelty, they both forced the others to take part in the assaults upon Kristy.

'The children had no option other than to do as they were told, or risk the same violence to themselves.

'As Kristy’s injuries became ever more severe, he even pleaded to be allowed to die.

'Eventually Bikubi took him into the bathroom, put him in the bath and started to run the water.

'Kristy was just too badly injured and exhausted to resist or to keep his head above the water.

'Kristy had been the victim of a prolonged attack of unspeakable savagery and brutality.

'Kristy was killed in the name of witchcraft. It is hard to believe in this day and age anyone can believe someone was practising witchcraft.'

Several calls were made during their four-day ordeal to the children’s parents in Paris, but they did not realise what was happening.

Bikubi admitted manslaughter on the grounds of diminished responsibility caused by brain damage, but this was rejected.

He also pleaded guilty to two counts of causing actual bodily harm to the girls. Magalie denied the assaults but was found guilty.

Detective Inspector Paul Maddock said later: 'It’s an almost unprecedented scenario where siblings are murdering another sibling.

'The family have been very positive, they’ve pulled together remarkably well.

'They were more than willing to give evidence and make sure the perpetrators were dealt with appropriately.'

* IN YOU BEEN SNAP BLOG *The last picture: PC blinded by Raoul Moat laps up Australian sun just days before tweeting 'RIP PC Rathband' and hanging himself"

*MKILETEWA HAPA NA MISS FB FASHION POLICE*

Sunning himself on a beach towel in Australia while appearing relaxed and happy, this is the tragic last image of Pc David Rathband taken just days before he was found dead.

Just six days after this apparently happy holiday picture was taken and posted on Twitter, the police officer who was shot and blinded by gunman Raoul Moat was discovered dead inside his home in Blyth, Northumberland in a suspected suicide.

Father-of-two Pc Rathband had sent a series of worrying tweets about his own death just days before he was found, and was struggling to cope with his blindness after being shot in the face at close range in July 2010.

He had been left with more than 200 shotgun pellets lodged in his skull.

Pc Rathband, 44, had returned from a four-week trip to Australia at the weekend, and proceeded to post a number of worrying tweets just days before he was found dead.

Holiday: Pc Rathband, pictured with a hat on next to his brother, posted worrying Twitter messages just before he was due to fly home;

In the coming days his police colleagues are sure to examine whether more could have been done to stop him taking his life.

Just hours before he was due to fly home he revealed on Twitter that final efforts to rescue his marriage had failed. In one, he revealed that ‘Mrs R’ just wanted to be friends.

He also tweeted that he had ‘lost my sight, my job, my wife and my marriage’, and wrote: ‘Flying back on Monday and will say goodbye to my children.’

In another tweet he said: ‘RIP PC Rathband.’

Pc Rathband later deleted the tweet but other messages on his Twitter page reveal the level of strain he was under.

On Saturday he tweeted: 'Very emotional few days, but back on track. Now focusing on my trip back to the UK and the road ahead.'

He also told his followers: 'Thank you for your positive comments I'm trying my best I sometimes get it wrong. Sorry.'

Several people had alerted police to the worrying tweets posted by Pc Rathband before his death.

One Twitter user, Shaun Jobson, posted: 'I think someone needs to intervene with David Rathband, his tweets are becomming worrying.'

Another user, Scrappy2710, sent a message to Northumbria Police reading: '@NorthumbriaPol Are you aware of David Rathband's tweets?? Doesn't sound very good at all.'

In a BBC interview last September Pc Rathband revealed how he was struggling to adapt to being blind.

Last night a Northumbria police spokesman confirmed Pc Rathband had been found dead at his home.

‘At around 7pm officers received a report of concern for the welfare of PC David Rathband at this home in Blyth.

‘Officers attended the scene alongside ambulance services and he was found inside. He was declared dead at the scene.’

Last November, Pc Rathband, 44, announced on Twitter that he had split from his wife Kath, 41, after 20 years.

He had flown back to the UK at the weekend after a four-week trip to Australia where he had surgery to remove pieces of shrapnel from his face.

He had spent time with his brother Darren, who lives in the country.

His brother Darren last night tweeted that he was returning to England after being told about Pc Rathband's death.

He said: 'On way back to the UK, to be at my brothers side. RIP Police Constable 190 David John Rathband. Please support blue lamp foundation.'

Darren's Twitter pages reveal the level of support which he was offering to his brother during the last week.

On Saturday, he tweeted Pc Rathband saying: 'Stick at it brother' before later adding: 'asking 4help does not make you less of a man'.

The following day Darren told him: 'don't give up'.

Last night, Northumbria Police Chief Constable Sue Sim said: 'I am deeply saddened to have to confirm the death of Pc David Rathband and my thoughts are with his family, friends and colleagues at this difficult time.

'I AM TRYING MY BEST AND IT IS TOUGH': PC DAVID RATHBAND REVEALED HOW HE WAS STRUGGLING WITH LIFE IN A HEARTBREAKING INTERVIEW

Struggled to cope: Pc David Rathband pictured with his former wife Cath

Struggled to cope: Pc David Rathband pictured with his former wife Cath;

In September last year Pc Rathband gave an interview with the BBC in which he revealed how he was struggling with life.
Here is a transcript of that interview.

'I'm struggling to deal with being blind. I can deal with being shot, it has happened, I can't change that.

'I am different to other people and everybody is different and what annoys me is that people treat you as a text book case.

'Nobody ever came up to me when I got shot or my family and said you are really going to need some help.

'They just let me get on.

'I do not know whether a lot of this is my own perceptions and insecurities but I hear people's voices when they are talking to me and I feel the resentment in their voice for having to guide me around.

'There's an element that it's my own insecurity that I'm dealing with but I'm quite astute to peoples' characters and always have been.

'I feel as if the majority of people I have worked with or by have forgotten what happened to me, why it happened and what I tried to do.

'Everybody I speak to is of a similar view. It's indicative of being blind. People just think, 'Well, they get on with it'.

'I'm not saying everything has been bad, but for me to be even thinking some of the things I have been about the way I've been treated, that's not right - and I'm not the only one.

'I have spoken to quite a few people over the last few months and everybody tells me that I have got 10 years before you realise you can deal with being blind

'At the moment I can't even see the next 12 months. But I am taking each day as it comes. I am trying my best and it is tough.

'I took a conscious decision when I left hospital that I would try my best for as long as possible to do it on my own with my family, but the camel's back has broken and I can't do it on my own.'

The Queen, the Duchess of Cornwall and the Duchess of Cambridge popped out for spot of tea today, it was as if they were on a girls’ day out.

Laughing and smiling, the trio’s visit to London foodie haven, Fortnum and Mason, was as cheerful and relaxed as a royal engagement ever gets.

The Queen, who celebrated her Diamond Jubilee this year, looked simply delighted to be accompanied for the first time by the two women who will, one day, follow in her footsteps.

Arriving in the capital’s bustling Piccadilly, the three women – all wearing differing shades of blue with varying hemlines befitting their ages of 85, 64 and 30 - were greeted by hundreds of cheering well-wishers and the jolly sounds of a jazz band.
As they entered the department store, which was founded in 1707 and boasts more than three centuries of royal service, they viewed a display of Diamond Jubilee United Services Tins filled with tea and clotted cream ‘super digestives’ (which don’t disintegrate when dunked) which are being sent to 18,000 members of the armed forces to mark the Queen's 60 years on the throne.
