Hot spots ... Louboutin's £765 sell-out shoe.
Hell on heels.

PLASTERS at the ready - the super-stiletto is hitting the High Street.
Hot on the heels of shoe guru Christian Louboutin's towering new 6½in leopard print platforms, shoes this spring will be higher than ever. The crippling height - and price, £765 - of the designer's latest design hasn't stopped them from selling out in days.
And now fashion-mad women are rushing to buy similar - but cheaper - sky-high heels.
I upped the stakes even further and stepped out in a pair measuring 7in from River Island for £79.99 to see if doing my daily tasks in these skyscraper shoes would be too much of a tall order.
First is the daily shop. Walking through the supermarket is a doddle and I even have a few admirers for my shoes.
The next hurdle is to reach the top shelf. Wobbling on one foot all over the place certainly worries me. Thoughts of milk and eggs crashing down fills me with dread. But I don't let this deter me and I manage to shop without toppling.
The extra height is a great confidence boost and I stride into the local pub. It's full of City gents, suited and booted, enjoying after-work drinks.

romping about like Bambi.Danny, 32, of Buckhurst Hill, Essex,
looks impressed. But he pleads with me not to stand on him!
And Vijay, 23, of Romford, Essex, adds: "They look scary, I'm a bit worried!"
Hmmm, maybe that's not quite the response I am looking for.
Out on the street the pain starts to kick in. My poor, poor feet. Cobbles prove torturous and I wouldn't recommend drinking a cup of coffee while walking along in them either.
I've been wearing the heels for just under an hour and I am definitely suffering. My saviour comes in the form of a cab across the street.
This is it, my escape route. Time to rid my aching soles of these demon shoes - they look SO good but I just can't take the burn for a moment longer.
Slow and steady wins the race when it comes to these heels - anything else could end up with you falling flat on your face.
But I still think the shoes are gorgeous. Beauty is pain!
Maybe time for a pedicure now - they should give one away free with every purchase.
