After devoting months to the search for the next American Idol, Steve Tyler has finally got some time off to enjoy himself.
And the Aerosmith legend has done exactly that, whisking his long-term girlfriend Erin Brady away to Hawaii for a beach break.
The pair certainly seemed to be having fun, hiring paddle boards as they took to the water in Maui.

Tyler, 63, larked around, balancing on one leg on his board before falling into the ocean.

 But his bikini-clad girlfriend was more professional, effortlessly showing Tyler how to keep upright.

The pair then embraced on the beach for the cameras, happy to show off their romance.  

Tyler was dressed for the beach, his arms accessorised with leather bracelets, a string of shells around his neck.
He had even had a pedicure ahead of the holiday, his toe nails painted alternating red and green.
But as he balanced on his board eagle-eyed observers could see his toes overlapping, giving a twisted appearance.
Erin, a former touring accountant, has been dating father-of-four Tyler since 2006 and their relationship has been described as 'rocky'.

A source told the National Enquirer that she was 'very protective' of her famous boyfriend.
'She gets jealous even when he tosses [even] a sideways glance at another woman,' they said. And during the auditions, he made it clear that he was more than a little interested in some of the young female contestants.'
But Erin is also credited with encouraging Tyler to take the job on Idol, which has reignited his career.
