The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge have stayed on warships and log cabins during their tour of Canada.
So their rumoured accommodation in Los Angeles will feel pretty palatial in comparison.
The couple, who are due to arrive in the city on Friday, are believed to be staying at Hancock Park House, the residence of Dame Barbara Hay, the British Consul-General in LA.

The 7,247sq ft Mediterranean-style property, which has seven bedrooms and bathrooms, is located in the affluent Hancock Park neighbourhood, not far from fashionable West Hollywood.
It was designed by architect Wallace Neff in 1929, and has been owned by the British government since 1957.
But it is its garden that is most famous, having played host to some of Hollywood biggest names over the years.
Dame Barbara, who has held her position since 2009, holds an annual celebrity reception for BritWeek, and this year held an event to celebrate the success of The King's Speech.
Already the LAPD have been making efforts to protect the house from paparazzi.
A spokesman told the LA Times today: 'Our primary concern is to protect the rights and privacy of the residents as well as the safety of the royal couple upon their visit here to the United States.
'If [the paparazzi] trespass on property where we have a signed trespass letter, they will be arrested immediately.'

The following day, Prince William is expected to play at the Santa Barbara Polo Club in a charity match, before Bafta's formal reception and dinner at the 1926 Belasco Theatre.
According to the British Embassy website, her role requires her to 'multiply the multifarious connections which the U.K. enjoys with Southern California and the other states to which she is accredited.'
