But reformed lothario Russell Brand looked a far cry from his old, leather trousers and teased hair self today in Miami.
The comic actor paraded around in a pair of unflattering white Y-front pants during rehearsals for his upcoming film Rock Of Ages.

At one point the 35-year-old put his hand down the back of his underwear as he gazed at his phone.
His revealing attire put Russell's pasty white, gangly body on display for onlookers.
His racy appearance by the hotel pool harked back to Rhys Ifans' infamous scene in Notting Hill, where he poses for photographers in his pair of grey pants.
Perhaps Brand thought his tighty-whities were preferable over the lilac harem trousers he was sporting earlier in the day.

Russell, who is married to pop princess Katy Perry, decided he couldn’t keep his pantaloons to himself and strutted his stuff on the boardwalk in Miami clearly in the Spring mood.
And wearing the statement trousers meant he was quickly spotted by some fans who he happily obliged by posing for pictures with them.
Yesterday the funny man started his day with a pair of super-short exercise shorts which he was seen wearing as he greeted the morning taking in the view from the balcony of his waterfront rented property.

And the trouser trail didn’t stop there as later in the evening Russell sported a pair of loose white trousers teamed with a blue vest and had liberated his feet opting to go without shoes.
The wide-legged pant style is in stark contrast to his London look – where he is regularly seen sporting skinny jeans.
Russell is taking a break from his latest movie, the big screen adaptation of Broadway hit Rock of Ages.

Brand’s latest role in Arthur has been panned by critics which will no doubt have hit home to the comedian turned actor who enjoyed success with earlier films Forgetting Sarah Marshall and Get Him To The Greek.

The Daily Mail's Chris Tookey said in his review of Brand's latest movie: 'Pathos is well beyond Brand, so he settles instead for toe-curling whimsy, which he can’t manage either: he’s far too edgy to carry it off.
'Dudley Moore made Arthur into a lovable drunk. Russell Brand turns him into an aggressively whimsical egomaniac. No wonder no one likes him.'
And Brand is obviously assessing his strengths at the moment, having taken to Twitter to ask for suggestions about venues he could use for stand up in LA.
