A painter and decorator who won the £45m Euromillions jackpot has revealed he wants to retrain as an electrician... while his future wife has some slightly higher ambitions;

Matt Topham, 22, revealed he wanted to go on a course now he can afford it in case he 'gets bored one day' and has even vowed to carry on working alongside his father despite winning the huge sum.

However his fiancee Cassey Carrington, also 22, has unveiled her own slightly different plans on how she wants to spend the cash.

First on the shopping list is an Aston Martin for herself, while she also revealed that aims to build her own home because of her dream to be an architect as a child.

Miss Carrington said she would also like to buy her parents a house because they have always rented.

She said: 'I told them last night I was going to buy them a house and my dad just went completely silent, and didn’t even dream that I’d spend any money on them but that was one of my first things. Just so that they’ve got that easier life.'

Mr Topham added: 'My dad’s always been in work.

'He’s still got a mortgage now and he’s 67 and it’d be so nice to get him out of work and pay off his mortgage, and let him relax.'

The couple were revealed as the winners at a hotel earlier today and became the second couple from Nottinghamshire to scoop the top prize in two weeks.

They live just 20 miles away from Gareth and Catherine Bull, in Mansfield, who picked up £41million two weeks ago.

The couple won the seventh biggest ever lottery jackpot in Britain.

Mr Topham said earlier today that is dream house would be like some of the extravagant properties he decorates with his father.
