* YOU BEEN SNAP BLOG * VALENTINE'S DAY NEWS" THIS TIME IS FOR WEST HAM FOOTBALLER .CARTTON COLE "BUYS HIS GIRLFRIEND CLEANING PRODUCTS"

*MKILETEWA HAPA NA MISS FB*

With his mind on a big game tonight, footballer Carlton Cole could be forgiven if he didn't buy a Valentine's Day present.

But what he wouldn't be forgiven for, is giving his sweetheart household cleaning products as a gift.

The West Ham striker posted a hilarious picture from his kitchen of him holding a tray of not-so romantic goodies with a tongue-in-cheek message.

He wrote: 'Here I Got Your Present "Happy Valentines Babes" I Love You ahahahahahahahahahhaha.'

Croydon-born Cole, 28, will have surely upset his girlfriend if he did indeed give her the thoughtless and sexist gift.

Of course, it may have just been a joke. It is not known if he is even dating anyone.

The gifts included an iron, various cleaning contents such as Fairy washing up liquid and Lenor, a pair of marigolds, a selection of Oxo cubes and a bottle of Champagne.

Several fans made jokes in response to the photo, with one tweeting a photo of a bag of flour, with the accompanying message: 'You forgot the flowers'.

One wrote that he needed 'to stop,' to which Cole replied: 'Pure Jokes bruv!'

West Ham host promotion rivals Southampton in a top of the table Championship clash at Upton Park tonight, meaning manager Sam Allardyce was in no mood to allow his striker a night off with the missus.

The only gift Hammers fans want from Cole in return for their love is a few goals later this evening.

He leads the betting at 11/2 to open the scoring, but with only two goals in his last ten appearances so he is not in appealing form.
